Care & Maintenance

Cleaning Wicker

All Wicker products are made from a synthetic material known as All-Weather Wicker, which consists of either PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) or PE (Polyethylene). Even the most durable wicker requires periodic cleaning.

1. Remove all cushions.

2. Use a garden hose to thoroughly wash down the furniture. If a garden hose is unavailable, use buckets of water.

3. Create a cleaning solution with mild soap and lukewarm water, avoiding abrasive materials or cleansers.

4. With a soft bristle brush or sponge, gently clean the wicker, ensuring to get into the cracks between the weaves to loosen dirt and grime.

5. After cleaning, rinse the furniture again with a garden hose or buckets of water until all soap residue is removed.

6. Allow your patio set to air dry. Kick back, relax, and enjoy your superior outdoor comfort!

Cleaning & Caring for Fabric

All seat and back cushion fabrics are highly water resistant. However, heavy or persistent rain can still get your cushion wet. If your cushion does get wet, we recommend unzipping the cushion and propping it up to dry.

Minor spills can be wiped off the cushion with neutral soap and a damp cloth. Although the fabric is treated with a stain-resistant finish, it is still necessary to use a commercially available fabric cleaner on a regular basis. Keep cushions clean by storing them in a dry place away from the elements or covering furniture covers when not in use. Covering the cushions is especially recommended if your furniture is used in areas with a high concentration of birds and trees.

Sunscreen oils, lotions or other chemicals, or repeated exposure to extreme weather conditions (including high temperatures), may cause permanent discoloration of any vinyl straps, wicker or fabric. In the event of exposure to oils or lotions, the area should be cleaned immediately. For cushions, avoid contact or exposure to pool chemicals, including chlorinated water.

Cleaning Frames

Clean your frames periodically with mild soap and warm water. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly. Be sure to drain any water that has accumulated inside the frames. Do not use wax on textured frames.

Cleaning Glass Table Tops

Our glass tabletops are made of tempered glass. Tempered glass is five times stronger than ordinary glass. It offers the ease of cleaning and the assurance of durability in any environment. Use mild soap and water or commercially available glass cleaners. Do not use cleansers or abrasive materials.

Winterizing the furniture

Belord furniture sets are carefully designed to withstand harsh weather conditions and remain intact in extreme temperatures. However, the snow, ice and cold of winter can seriously affect the longevity of your furniture, so we strongly recommend that you prepare for winter.

The recommended best practice is to move your furniture to a sheltered location such as a garage, shed or basement. If there is not enough space to store large items such as furniture.

If your furniture needs to be kept outside, follow these steps to protect it from inclement weather:

1. Remove the seat and back cushions.

2. Wash stains or dirt with neutral soap and water before storing for an extended period of time.

3. Store the cushion in an area where the temperature is above 40º F. 4. Keep the frame facing up to prevent damage.

4. Keep the frame facing up to prevent water from accumulating inside.

5. Cover the frame with a high quality outdoor furniture cover.
